It doesn't make sense to remove it, people with this client version would still use it, e.g me, also people don't spam it that much, and if you really dislike it you can disable it.

I mean, it would be better just to have an option so people can disable or enable emojis lol so both sides can be happy.

That's right, even if you remove it now people are not obligated to update and will keep using it.
This stupid feature will scar DDNet client forever...
We have complained about the feature before it was too late as well. :(
