You can also use gfx_refresh_rate to lower your framerate if you don't want to overheat your GPU just by playing DDNet. I'd try to set it to a multiple of my framerate, maybe that helps, like for 60Hz 120 or 240.

snd_rate 22000 good. game looks fine now. also i can go to windows 7, but don't think it would be better for cpu. thx for the help, i will try to finish a few maps tomorrow.

22000 is very low and bad quality. You can try increasing the snd buffer instead.

snd buffer helps but i cant play with sound delay :D 22000 for me much better.
